Retail solutions

Turn more in-store shoppers into permissioned customer relationships.

Use a rewarding promotion to invite customers to identify themselves, share useful information and choose whether they want to hear from you again.

For retailers that want to build direct customer relationships from store activity, with or without proof of purchase.

The commercial problem

Many store shoppers remain anonymous.

They may visit, browse and buy without joining your customer audience. Once they leave, you may have no direct way to continue the relationship.

BeeLiked gives you a rewarding reason to invite participation.

A game, instant win, sweepstakes or other interactive experience can attract attention, while your own entry form can collect permitted contact information, marketing consent and zero-party data.

You choose how open or controlled access to that promotion should be.

Three ways to invite participation

Run a public promotion

You make the experience openly available through in-store signage, QR codes, your website, social media, email or other communications.

Participants complete your entry form to access the game or promotion.

This is the simplest route for broad lead generation and audience growth, but it does not prove that the participant made a purchase.

Use Display to Play

Store staff use the BeeLiked Display to Play app to provide an eligible customer with a one-use invitation code in person.

The code gives staff a practical way to control who receives an invitation without requiring a complicated integration.

The customer uses the code to access your branded experience and entry form.

This can support customer recognition, VIP treatment, event participation, service recovery, sampling or another staff-led interaction. The code confirms the staff-issued invitation, not the contents of a purchase.

Verify a purchase from the receipt

Where proof of purchase matters, you can use your own RunnyHoney channel to ask customers to submit their paper receipt.

RunnyHoney can check available receipt details such as retailer, store or location, transaction value, date and identifiable products against the campaign rules.

The promotion unlocks only after the qualifying purchase has been completed and verified.

This creates a purchase-linked data collection journey without requiring a new POS integration, unique receipt code or pack change, provided the necessary receipt information can be recognized reliably.

The data collection rule

If you want to collect participant data, you must run the promotion through your own BeeLiked account and accompanying RunnyHoney channel.

This allows you to design your own entry form and, subject to its campaign design, privacy notice and consent choices, collect:

  • Contact information
  • Marketing opt-ins
  • Zero-party data
  • Preference information
  • Answers to campaign questions
  • Information needed to administer the promotion

RunnyHoney Rewards is different.

RunnyHoney Rewards can introduce games and offers to users across the wider verified shopper network, but participant personal data from the Rewards channel is not passed to you.

Your own account and channel are therefore the correct route when the commercial objective includes building a directly permissioned customer audience.

How it works

A selected customer audience highlighted for a permissioned retail promotion.

1. Define the audience objective

Decide whether you want broad lead generation, staff-controlled invitations or verified purchasers.

Three customer data capture routes shown as audience, profile and receipt options.

2. Choose the entry route

Use a public promotion, Display to Play one-use codes or receipt verification through your own RunnyHoney channel.

3. Create the branded experience

Choose the game, instant-win, sweepstakes, prize, offer or other interactive mechanic.

4. Design the entry form

Ask only for the information the campaign genuinely needs and present the appropriate privacy and marketing consent choices.

5. Promote or issue the invitation

Use in-store signage and your communications, staff-issued codes or a receipt-linked campaign journey.

6. The customer participates

The shopper accesses the experience, completes the required form and makes their own consent choices.

7. Continue the relationship

You can use the permitted data you have collected according to those choices and your own privacy obligations.

The right route for the right objective

Use a public promotion when

  • Maximum participation matters
  • Proof of purchase is unnecessary
  • The campaign is designed for broad lead generation
  • You are comfortable with open access

Use Display to Play when

  • Staff should decide who receives an invitation
  • A one-use code provides enough control
  • The interaction happens face to face
  • You want to avoid a technical integration

Use receipt verification when

  • A completed purchase must be proven
  • A minimum spend is required
  • A selected product must appear on the receipt
  • A participating store or location matters
  • You want the experience to follow a real transaction

The three routes can support different campaigns. They do not need to be combined into one promotion.

Why a reward helps customers identify themselves

An entry form by itself feels like administration.

A rewarding experience gives the customer a reason to complete it.

The game creates curiosity, anticipation and enjoyment. The prize or offer adds potential value. You receive participation because the customer has chosen to engage, not because another generic data-capture form interrupted the shopping journey.

The objective is not to collect as much data as possible. It is to create a fair value exchange and a permissioned relationship you can use responsibly.

What you can create

Through your own BeeLiked account, you can create promotions using:

  • Instant-win games
  • Sweepstakes
  • Prize draws
  • Branded interactive experiences
  • Offers and giveaways
  • Their own virtual currency
  • Public or controlled entry journeys
  • Custom entry questions
  • Marketing consent choices
  • Experiences delivered through their own RunnyHoney channel

The exact promotion, access route and data fields should be designed around the commercial objective.

How to measure the result

BeeLiked can record the participation and form activity available within the your own promotion.

Useful measures may include:

Promotion visits

Entry forms completed

Valid one-use codes submitted

Qualifying receipts verified

Game participation

New contacts collected

Marketing opt-ins

Zero-party data responses

Performance by store, location or campaign route

Subsequent activity measured in your own systems

Your own customer, sales and marketing systems remain the source of truth for the longer-term commercial value of the audience it builds.
