Lonely Planet invited its audience of 1m+ followers to enter their best shots capturing our beautiful world under the following four categories: Celebration, Community, Untamed and Space.
The prize was a once-in-a-lifetime photography tour with Richard I’Anson! For category finalists, two judges reviewed all eligible entries and judged them based on creativity and best representation of the category theme, however, whichever photograph received the most votes from the public was also be chosen as a finalist.
The BeeLiked Team worked together with Lonely Planet to create a memorable photo contest that would appeal to their global audience. Particular attention was given to showcasing the great photos, but also encouraging fans to sign in to vote for their favorites.
The campaign used the Photo Contest campaign on BeeLiked with voting functionality and data collection. A new template was developed in conjunction with the Lonely Planet’s in-house design team.
